§ 62-111. Sanitary sewer hook-ups and septic tank systems; prohibitions.

  • (a)

    All structures, premises and residences within the city occupied by a person for any purpose shall have either a sanitary sewer hookup or, if the property qualifies as an exception, a septic tank system that meet the requirements and laws of the city, county and state, and their health departments.

    (b)

    No sanitary sewer hookup or septic tank system shall be installed or covered until a permit shall have been issued by the county health department, and such county having already inspected and approved the installation before covering with backfill.

    (c)

    All privies are forbidden.
