§ 2-171. Minor purchases.

  • The mayor may authorize the expenditure of any sum not greater than $500.00 for municipal purposes when each of the following requirements or circumstances exist:

    (1)

    The mayor (including the mayor pro tem when authorized by the mayor to act for and in his absence) has determined that the expenditure is required for the orderly and efficient conduct of the business of the city.

    (2)

    The purpose and the sum of the proposed expenditure are within the scope of the authorized and approved city budget.
